In 1919, when the Jackson Zoo first opened, it consisted of a cage of rabbits and an assortment of local citizens' pets. Today, the zoo boasts 776 animals that include 120 exotic species. Popular exhibits include those of the rare snow leopards and golden-bellied mangabeys. The zoo is located within Livingston Park, across the street from the Sonny Guy Golf Course.
Open daily 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Adults $6; Seniors (65+) $5.40; Children (2-12) $3; Children under 2 are free. Parking $2.
